Purchasing a Chromebook - updated user name 06/11/19

There are three options.

Buying without insurance

This excludes insurance and is purchased with a one off payment through ParentMail. The window for ordering is the same as for the leasing option.

To buy a device please login to your ParentMail account.

A Lenovo 500e costs £307

Please note that all models are educational versions that cannot be bought elsewhere. They are more rugged than those available online. All prices include configuration and a Chromebook licence that allows us to manage the devices and push applications out to them. All Chromebooks without insurance come with a 3-year extended warranty from 2020 onwards.

Leasing or buying outright

This includes insurance and is purchased through the FreedomTech portal. We have 2 windows.

 

Years 7-10:     Window opens:  5 November 2019

Window closes:  10 December 2019

First payment:  25 January 2020

Device delivered:  Mid February 2020

Pupil Premium Students

Parents of pupil premium students will be contacted shortly via letter detailing the device they will be offered at no cost. If you think that your child qualifies for pupil premium money and we do not know, please contact the school.

Eligibility:

  • Children who have qualified for free school meals at any point in the past six years.
  • Children who have been looked after under local authority care for more than one day.
  • Children in year groups Reception to Year 11 recorded as a service child or in receipt of a child pension from the Ministry of Defence
