How to Contribute
Regular or Single Financial Donations
Investing In The Future contributes to current projects. Just £10 per month per student (less than the price of a weekly coffee), would raise nearly £140,000 in one year, and with Gift Aid the total would rise to £175,000. This level of funding would ensure that the school continues to thrive into the future.
Donations can be to whatever value you wish, and can be regular, occasional or one-off. You can make a contribution by cheque, cash or by one of the methods outlined below:
Contribution via standing order, cheque or cash (inc Gift Aid declaration)
Gift Aid can be used by tax payers to add 25p for every £1 donated. Payroll Giving is a scheme whereby deductions can be made by your employer direct to a chosen charity prior to tax being applied to your net pay. The link on the title takes you to the HMRC website where the different sorts of charitable contributions are more fully explained.
If you wish to discuss these please contact us.
Your employer may operate a Matched Giving scheme whereby they will also contribute to the Investing In The Future fund on your behalf. Please contact your Human Resources provider for specific details that may apply to you. Please use this link to review those companies that we know match charitable donations. If your company is not on this list but operates a similar scheme please let us know.
Equipment and Service Donations
Help us by donating equipment or a service your organisation provides - please contact us if you have something particular in mind, and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
You join The Giving Machine for free and generate commissions when you shop online at no cost to yourself. The Giving Machine works with over 1500 major retailers (including Amazon, Play.com, John Lewis, eBay, Sainsbury’s and Next) and converts commissions on your purchases to donations for your chosen cause. You are raising funds for free! The Parents Society have been promoting use of The Giving Machine for some time and we would be delighted if everyone connected to the school were to use this. The money raised will be directed to the SHFGS Parents Society which is part of our overall Investing In the Future fund.
Sponsor a school event (e.g. The Autumn Concert, Sports Day), or a publication (e.g. Music Concert programme, Floyd Footnotes, etc). There are many such opportunities available and we would be pleased to discuss these with you.
Leaving a legacy to SHFGS in your Will opens up the possibility for you to become a school benefactor and support the students and activities of SHFGS for years to come. Legacies are a very personal matter and you are under no obligation to disclose whether you have included SHFGS as a beneficiary or not. If you are interested in leaving a legacy we suggest you discuss the matter with a solicitor who will be able to provide you with an overview of how your legacy could help the school and any commemorative opportunities you may wish to consider.
Trust and Foundation Support
Support from trusts, foundations and livery companies enable us to deliver projects and initiatives that help support academic excellence and make important links through vital community projects. Please contact us should you wish to discuss this further.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss any of the ways above that you can assist the school - and if you have other ideas for making a contribution. We will be delighted to hear from you.
